The Avoided CO₂ indicator, shown on the Charging Sessions page of the fleet manager interface, estimates the CO₂ emissions that would have been produced if the distance driven had instead been driven with an equivalent combustion-engine vehicle.
Principle
Avoided CO₂ = Combustion-engine CO₂ − Electric CO₂
Formula
For each charging session: Avoided CO₂ (kg) = energy charged (kWh) × 1.1435
Example
A 40 kWh charging session avoids 45.74 kg of CO₂ emissions, compared to driving the same distance with a combustion-engine vehicle.

Scope
The calculation covers the usage phase only (fuel or electricity consumed while driving) — it doesn't account for manufacturing, maintenance, or end-of-life.
Limitations and assumptions
Estimate — based on national averages, not each vehicle's actual consumption. Still very reliable at fleet level, since it aggregates all vehicles.
France only — relies on the French electricity mix (very low carbon) and doesn't apply abroad.
Substitution assumption — assumes an electric vehicle replaces an equivalent combustion-engine vehicle.
